Privacy Policy

SessionBridge ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome extension that transfers AI conversations between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. What we collect

SessionBridge collects the minimum data necessary to operate:

Anonymous session ID — a randomly generated identifier created locally on your device. It is never linked to your name, email, or any personal account. It is used solely to enforce free-tier usage limits.
Usage count — the number of transfers you have performed, stored on our server against your anonymous ID to apply the free plan limit.
Conversation content (transient) — when you initiate a transfer, the text of your current AI conversation is sent to our server to be relayed to the destination AI. This content is processed in real time and is never stored, logged, or retained on our servers.

2. What we do NOT collect

Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
Passwords or authentication credentials for any AI service
Browsing history or any activity outside of the three supported AI pages
Any data from pages you visit other than chatgpt.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com

3. Local storage

The following data is stored locally on your device using the Chrome storage API and never leaves your device unless stated otherwise:

Your anonymous session token
Transfer history (source AI, destination AI, timestamp) — stored locally only
UI preferences (e.g. whether the onboarding tour has been seen)

4. How we use your data

To perform the conversation transfer you explicitly requested
To track your usage count against the free plan limit
To display your transfer history inside the extension side panel

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the transfer feature.

5. Third-party services

The extension communicates with api.sessionbridge.click (our own Cloudflare Workers backend) to process transfers. No data is shared with any other third party. The content you transfer is routed to the destination AI provider (OpenAI / Anthropic / Google) as part of the transfer, which is the sole purpose of the extension.

6. Data retention

Your anonymous ID and usage count are retained on our servers for as long as you use the extension. Conversation content is never stored — it is discarded immediately after the transfer is processed. You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage via Chrome's extension settings.

7. Children's privacy

SessionBridge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the extension evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
